ABOUT ME

I'm a friendly and outgoing, neat and sane guy from Baton Rouge, LA. I'm pretty rad and interesting and respect myself and the people and things around me. I'm pretty funny too. (Although my mother would prooooobably disagree.) You could say I'm the perfect mix of salty and sweet. :-) Speaking of, I love to cook and I love to eat. I'm a pretty self-efficient individual. I LOVE connecting with people and being social, but understand the value of being alone. That said, if we find ourselves in the company of one another, feel free to do your own thing if you need to. I kinda get a thrill out of being in strange places and figuring things out.

PHILOSOPHY

Love is the platform for everything I do. Love for myself and what I do and love for the people around me. I love giving (time, resources, etc.) and brightening a person's day. Learning people's stories and experiencing new things is an extremely rewarding thing for me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've only been hosted before, but living in one of the greatest cities on earth (NYC) I LOVE showing people MY New York. What I love about the place. And if I'm not there and I know people are coming in, I am quick to send them suggestions about things to do, see, and eat.

I've actually couchsurfed before in Amsterdam and had an absolute BLAST.

Interests

My interest include anything artistic and creative. I'm a tv/film and theatre performer (dancer/actor/singer) and I play the guitar and write music and scripts. I also love getting lost in conversation with strangers and collecting vinyls. Exploring the unknown and finding the unusual among the mundane is also a pastime of mine. (I usually like to attempt to capture these moments with my camera.) A perfect day involves some human interaction, a journal, a coffee shoppe, and some sunshine. Favorite iPhone apps: Instagram and Hipstamatic.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hands down favorite movie of all-time: 'Good Will Hunting.' Matt Damon is a personal favorite. 'Little Britain' (the non-American version) is a guilty pleasure as well.

As far as music goes, I love all types, but I do have a lower tolerance for country, although my friends try to sneak it in on me from time to time.
:-) I'm a sucker for music from the 60's and live jazz.

Books! Ugh. I LOVE to read. Anything with a good plot or strong characters.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Holy crap. I've been so fortunate to have so many dreams come true from traveling to see the reclining Buddhas in Bangkok to performing in coveted venues throughout the US. I've toured with my dream show for years and have gotten to explore ever nook and cranny of the United States and Canada. Shooting films in Germany, performing in Japan and Dubai...I freaking love my life. (I know that's not one, but still...)
