ABOUT ME

Spending the last three.5 years, toiling in the dirt with the hopes of uncovering something spectacular, and coming up with a tiny shard of pottery at best, wasn't quite what I wanted to be doing with my life. I have a serious obsession with food, and i dont mean that in a "stuff my face until i'm bloated" way. I love everything to do with anything edible. Discovering new tastes, new techniques, new flavor combinations, history, cuisines of the world, etc. In school I studied archaeology with a particular focus on the plants, and animals our ancient ancestors depended upon to sustain themselves.
Yes, it is as boring as it sounds. I left school partway into my fourth year to discover the food this world has to offer. I mean, why spend all my time researching ancient food sources when so many unknown eats are waiting at my fingertips?
So after a travel stint visitting old friends throughout the world, here I am working as a Chef in the mountains of New Zealand.
I wish I'd known about this community when I began this journey...
