ABOUT ME

I really like meeting new people and have found couchsurfing to be a great resource. I find that that more people I can meet, help out, travel with, or become friends with, the more I reveal myself and the more the universe will reveal itself to me.

PHILOSOPHY

My recent passion is to just help people out the way that I was hepled out so generously in Switzerland. This isn't done enough in the US it seems compared to other places sometimes maybe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would take great satisfaction in making someone eleses travel experience as special as my recent trip to Switzerland was due to the kindness of a local (who was previously a) stranger to me. There is no other way to travel. I am starting to attend a few couchsurfing events in my area and think it is fantastic, confident, and brave that a person would be outgoing enough to create and host an event which is open to all couch surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Went to Switzerland for work on Monday, Tues, Wed, then stayed over through the weekend. Decided to try to couch surf. I send a first time request to Lindsay in Zug and she went out on a limb to accept my request since I had no previous profile info. It ended up being one of the most wonderful experineces ever, having a local show you where to go and what is a good use of time, and even invite you out with friends to have dinner, drinks and good times. Without this experinece I would have spent a fortune staying at a hotel, spent most of my time alone, and really only seen the tourist side of things.

Interests

I went to UW Madison for engineering and math and work in Biotech in middleton WI. I am an avid gym goer and trying out Crossfit currently. My real passion is hands on work, and plan to "flip" my first house this June! I play music, I brew beer, Boating and Motor cycles in the summer, handy work, automotive repair, wood working, spending time out doors, like to exercise often, go out and kick back a few drinks with friends, movies, people watching, psychology.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Laying on a private island beach on my back in the northwoods of wisconsin seeing the clearest views of every star imaginaable and then some. My first trip to the swiss alps was like being on another planet, which led to an unplanned tandem parasail jump that lasted 20 minutes on Mount Rigi. First time seeing the teal blue colored ocean and white sand of cancun.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have formal teaching experience as a Technical Trainer for an electronic drives company, I did this for about 2.5 years and enjoyed it very much. I would live to teach a hands on class where I brew beer, auto maintenance, boating.
