About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see as much of Europe as possible while I can!
ABOUT ME
Hello, my name's Craig. I like to think I'm a pretty outgoing person. I try to always be friendly and kind, and just go with the flow. I am always looking to make new friends, wherever in the world I find myself. I have a large range of hobbies and interests, and love exploring this great big world of ours.
PHILOSOPHY
Live life to the fullest and treat others as you wish to be treated (even if it's a cliché!) To that end, always be kind, because the inverse doesn't make any sense!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I try to host when possible, and definitely take some people up on their couches when I'm next in Europe! :D
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None yet, in terms of me visiting others, hopefully soon! In terms of hosting I've had a few very nice people stay with me.
Interests
Ok so my interests! Well, as one could guess from being on this site, I love travelling! I've been to Europe a few times now, and am moving to Germany for a year as of September 2013. I'm not so much a fan of touristy things as I am of really experiencing the culture and language of a place, which is another reason Couchsurfing is so appealing. Leading into another interest, I love languages! I recently graduated University with a double major in French and German. English is my first language, and being Canadian, French was an easy second to chose; in High school I fell in love with German, because of my German international student friends, and the rest is history! I also have a working knowledge of Japanese, Spanish, and a tad of Polish, Russian, Finnish, and Italian, though it's pretty limited for the last few. I plan to keep learning languages my entire life. :D. I also am a fan of bike riding, exercising, cooking,drawing/painting and just hanging out with friends! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to count, but a few faves: Harry Potter (of course!), The Hunger Games, The girl with the Dragon Tattoo, A Song of Ice and Fire, Broken Sky, Eragon, Scott Pilgrim, The Walking Dead, etc...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-The first time I saw the Kölner Dom (Cologne Cathedral). It was a beautiful day, and when I learned it's history, it really put it into context how amazing a building it is.
-The first time I flew to Europe. It was sunrise and we were landing at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, and it struck me that it was my first major trip and how different and yet familiar the landscape was, and how beautiful the sunrise was.
-Every time I look at the night sky when I am at home. When I came back from a semester abroad in France, I really learned to appreciate the beautiful Canadian night sky... There are soo many stars, and the cool air is so clean and pure and refreshing! :D
Teach, Learn, Share
