About Me

It's always hard to describe oneself, especially as an expression of "first impression".
However I'm a good sport, and shall do my best to lay down the jist for you fine people.
I'm a simple, domestic, relatively well-mannered individual. I take care and pride in my ability to help those around me in any way I can.
My tolerance for mistaken action or accidental wrongdoing has yet to be exhausted, however the same cannot be said about the purposeful act of harming or hurting another individual, in any fashion,
I believe in order to maintain a joyful and productive existence it is paramount we work together, act as one, and strive to teach eachother what we know on a routine basis.
Also, I am a Male, not Female, as my profile suggests. My apologies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My housing situation has become precarious, to say the least. So in the spirit of adventure I have decided to round up all available support from friends and family, while also liquidating most of my current possessions, to travel and discover the country I love most in the world. while being able to trade my services, and talents for short stays in and around Montreal, until I become situated enough to live there semi-permanently, benefitting from it's location, culture, and citizens alike.
I fully intend to remain in your great city for an extended period of time, taking short breaks to see the east coast and northern woodland, learning Francois all the way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once, while managing a marketing team contracted to re-do all the Rexall drug stores in Western Canada product display and shelving arrangement, I performed CPR on an elderly gentleman who had simultaneously gone into cardiac arrest and had a rather violent seizure, and managed to resuscitate the individual for two and a half minutes until he had a second seizure, at which point I had placed a CPR mask over his face and began breathing for him. in due time the paramedics arrived, at which point he went into cardiac arrest again, and passed shortly after in the ambulance en route.

Teach, Learn, Share

My father is a Red Seal Chef of 35 years, and taught me everything I know. Which is to say, I can teach a novice to make fairly complex and flavourful dishes, and perhaps give even a seasoned veteran a few tricks (pun intended).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have military first aid training, and put it to use rather frequently.
I am essentially the domestic chore assassin, and excel in all manner of dusting, wiping, scrubbing and polishing.
I know two or three rather humourous knock-knock jokes.
I can expertly mend everything from coveralls, to kitchen drapes. I actually quie like sewing.
I have grown up with four siblings and currently have two nephews, so childcare has been a regular part of my life.
I have an extensive scientific knowledge, so much so the FBI once had to call me on my phone requesting i stop trying to buy yellow cake uranium and to desist in all nuclear endeavours (true story)
But most of all I am a quick learner and hard worker, I've laid brick patios and built aluminium aircraft and operated carwashes. I'm well versed in the real world, university educated, and most importantly:
Just, weirdly and freakishly handsome.
