I love traveling and discovering new places and people. I like to get a sense of the real life in the places I visit. One of my favorite activities is to take time to walk and bike around. Not for the sport, rather to get a sensible perception of the places I visit and to find opportunities for good pictures to take. Let's say I'm a stroller.
In the 'real life', when I'm not traveling, I am a researcher in population studies in Paris, working on international migration (https://www.ined.fr/en/research/researchers/Beauchemin+Cris). I have 3 boys who live with me half the time.
I now live next to Paris. I lived in Montreal (Canada) several years. I travel a lot, mostly in Africa and the USA, for my work and pleasure.
As a guest, I am calm, respectful, easy going and also quite independent. I'm a newcomer on Couchsurfing, but I have many positive comments on Airbnb.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It looks like the best option to both discover new places and meet people.
I really don’t like hotels: too impersonal and too "out of the real world" for me.
