So I'm Cristian! I'm 19 years old hailing from Michigan City, Indiana. My town is small and boring so I want to be away from it as much as possible.
I've been called a "hippie" by friends and family more times than I would like, but labels don't mean too much! I love music, especially "EDM", dancing, nature, talking to people, and generally enjoying my short life.
I LOVE music festivals. They have changed my life and make it a point to make it to at least one a year. Let's hit up a festival!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Being the broke college student I am, being able to pay for hotel rooms is not always an option. Ideally, I would couchsurf with someone when I'm in town for music festivals. If my host would like to join 100% better!
I am heading to EDC Las Vegas this year, so it's likely that going to EDC this year will entail my first Couchsurfing experience. Anyone else in Vegas heading in this year?

Interests

Interests vary widely... Can't say I'm absolutely in love with any activity in particular. In constellation, I am open to any new activities or experiences.

But, to answer the question, I'd say I love music, again EDM, dancing, exercise, people, nature and everything it entails, space and the universe, and a plethora of other things.
Also, should note, I am a cannabis enthusiast. Does not have to be an interest of mine if my host isn't for it, but it's only fair you know! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Above and Beyond, Tycho, Flume, Washed Out, and Porter Robinson will forever remain my favorite artists. Their music changed my life and brought me out of many bad slumps.
I honestly don't watch too many movies, but of the ones I have seen, I would say Inception, Treasure Planet, Napoleon Dynamite, Pineapple Express, Titanic, Avatar, and Fantastic Mr. Fox would be my favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In my short 19 years, I would say that the most amazing and life changing thing I've done was getting selected to represent the US in an international summer camp for 16-17 year olds for a month with the organization CISV.

I, along with 3 others and an adult leader, we're chosen out of like 70 kids to go to the Czech Republic and live with kids our age from man different countries for a month.
Being that exposed to other cultures changed me in ways I can't explain. Seeing how different, but ultimately alike we all we're gave me so much insight into the beauty and uniqueness of the world, and had a hand in giving cause for people to call me a "hippie".

Teach, Learn, Share

Doing what makes you happy is the sole goal of life. So long as you don't hurt someone be free to be you.

I live by this as much as possible. I am very open minded. Race, creed, sexuality, and interests mean nothing to me so long as you are a good person. I wish more people were like this. You make so many friends and learn so many important lessons.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can't offer much in the way of money. Words can't describe how broke I am sometimes. College is good for that.
What I can offer is hospitality and undying gratitude for letting a total stranger into your house.
As a person, I like to think I'm a conversationalist! At least I hope I am! I have yet to meet a person I couldn't somewhat get along with.
