ABOUT ME

I have travelled world wide and spent quite a bit of time in India, had children, raised them and now I am out in the world, as a Project Manager, building environmental buildings, creating luxury rentals. Now I'm thinking of going into IT/IM just to see what I can contribute to that industry.

PHILOSOPHY

People are essentially good, and sometime we listen to them as less than that. I heard Naomi Tutu speak recently and she talked about this as "othering". I think that our world holds amazing promise and it is up to us to make it happen.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My daughter just used CS in Athens and Berlin. I love the idea of community building and sharing and wanted to be part of this eclectic community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

There is quite a history, and have been welcomed into so many homes. I spent time in Kauai and was welcomed into homes of folks I did not know. From there I went on to Europe and was welcomed (and sometimes not!) into strangers homes for a day or a week. When I travelled through Asia, especially India I was welcomed into homes with welcoming arms. I guess that now that I have my own home it is time to pay it forward.

I'm old fashioned about music, I mostly whistle or sing to myself. Books, whatever my friends give me I will read. Last books: Outliers, History of Tulips, Dancing in the No Fly Zone.

Hiked in the Himalayas, went to Ladakh after it first opened, bathed in the head waters of the Ganges, had my children at home, did the Landmark Forum, meditated on a Heiau, slept under a mango tree, watched the eclipse.
