About Me

Hey there, I'm Curt (Michael is my legal name, but I go by Curt). I'm a 25 year old guy from BC. Married with no kids, working full time for the City of Vancouver while my wife is finishing up school. I'm a really laid back guy that enjoys people and experiences. I haven't done much travelling, but I'm intending on changing that! I'm going to add some stuff on my wife in this profile as we will probably be travelling together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My wife and I are travelling to Belize in a week (departure Dec. 24) and we just found out about this website now. We're both pretty inexperienced and this sounds like a safe, authentic and fun way to experience an unknown world. We're really hoping to connect with someone before we take off, but if not, hopefully we can utilize this later on for our future travels.

Interests

I enjoy lots of stuff, but I seem to regularly spend time on sports and fitness, guitar, philosophy and religion, and movies just to name a few.

My wife is interested in cooking, baking, crafts, outdoor activities, and adventuring.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have a favourite genre of music, but my favourite artists are Led Zeppelin, Cake and Tupac. My wife apparently doesn't have any favourite music, haha.

My favourite movie is The Matrix. My wife's is the Shawshank Redemption.

My favourite book probably East of Eden, but this seems to change whenever I read a new, excellent book. My wife also doesn't have a favourite book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in the Philippines for half a year.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know if this is what is expected, but I can teach guitar, fitness training, and Christianity and philosophy. I'd love to learn languages, culture and about you and your life. I could bring and share some stuff from Canada.

My wife can teach vegetarian cuisine and food in general, basic knitting, geography and environmentalism. She would love to learn languages as well, local foods, flora and fauna and topography.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm not really sure how this is different from the above section, haha.
