Former American football college player in both Canada and the United States, now bartending and coaching football in Canada. Now that I have graduated school, I am planning on traveling to different countries and exploring their culture and everything it has to offer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet others who are interested in sharing their philosophy. Mine is simple...."Get Buckets". Always interested to talk about it and explain it.
Here to meet locals and pick up first hand knowledge and experiences from them. I am more interested in being able to socialize and interact with people who live within a certain city and be able to pick their brain about it, as opposed to staying in a redundant hotel.
Sports (American football, Basketball, Baseball and Hockey) are my passion. Socializing, may or may not include beverages. Being adventurous; love the outdoors and always interested in doing something outdoors. Anything athletic - surfing (I am going to learn), hiking, boating, running etc. Reading, usually biographies. Talking about history and prior experiences, both sharing and listening to others. Tons of interests....but not politics.
- outdoor activities
- american football
Music, Movies, and Books
Listen to all types of music. Top three would be rap, country and classic rock. They occupy the most of my space on my ipod.
Comedy movies are my favourite, but I always love a good action movie.
I read a lot of biographies. I like knowing how people got to where they are and what they overcame to get there.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In my Senior year of college, my last regular season American Football game (where all seniors are honoured) I gave my spot up to an over-classmen, who had never played in a game before, so he was able to experience playing in one game over his career.
Teach, Learn, Share
All of the above!
What I Can Share with Hosts
A polite and fun guy. I don't travel with a lot of bags and am pretty low maintenance. Enjoy sharing and listening to stories of life experiences. Interested in knowing the culture of where I am traveling and sharing how it compares to where I am from. Would be interested in attending a bar for some drinks or staying in or somewhere local to just talk and shoot the can.
