About Me

learn how to swim

I read, I travel, I become.

I'm in love with coffee culture, sea, and good music.

Everything you can imagine is real.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

eager to surf & host.

Cooking, trying out new recipes; reading; walking around the city till small hours; talking with people and listening to their stories; learning languages (I major in English and Arabic with Spanish and Hebrew being my new love); getting to know people, new cultures; taking photos; running and biking; stealing sunsets.

Music, Movies & Books

Movies that leave me breathless, speechless or, just on the opposite, that make me speak and discuss them or laugh out loud are of my biggest appreciation. (Into the Wild, Drive, Only God Forgives, Fight Club, Oscar et la Dame Rose, Babel, La piel que habito, El Laberinto del Fauno, Todo sobre mi madre, Los abrazos rotos, La mala educación, Volver, Ha-Buah, Samsara, Dancer in the Dark, L'homme que j'aime, The Sound of Music, Et maintenant, on va où?, Caramel, Balle Perdue, A Perfect Day, Taht el qasef, Monty Python's movies...)

Music is my everyday companion. Either soothing and calm or energetic and very lively; playing in the background or playing the leading role it has to be there!

Books: The Godfather, The House on Mango Street, The Hours, Merde series, The Master and Margarita, The Passage to India, The Gulag Archipelago...

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Listening to the call to prayer at a mosque from the top of the building with a view over the Mediterranean Sea (Beirut); Sailing for hours between Europe and Asia on a ferry, drinking tea, and admiring long sunsets (Istanbul); taking the best coffee on this planet (menengiç) in a small café hidden inside a busy market (Diyarbakır/Turkey);

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you (and learn from you as well) how to cook. I can teach English, Polish, and Arabic in exchange for your language - may it be Chinese or Thai - I'm interested!
