ABOUT ME

Born in the US; grew up in Singapore and in India; studying in the US.

Things that excite me: meeting others, sharing smiles and sharing laughter, physics, the environment, watching sunrises, silence, sharing stories, climate science, chanting, dancing (Bharatanatyam -- south Indian classical, in particular), the environment and humans (social and political ecology), beginning to learn and enjoy cycling and swimming.

When I was younger, I wanted to be a horticulturist (particularly, growing lilies). Failing that, I wanted to be a shepherd, a professional dancer, or a string theorist.

I grew up on alternative medicine; fantasy and sci-fi novels; spending several days hand-making birthday cards; crossing national boundaries at least once in six months (I'm a solid Third Culture Kid); with a lot of sunshine; and a lot of monsoon; math puzzles over the vegetarian dinner table; and chocolate.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach introductory math (upto calculus and lineaer algebra) and physics, English and Bharatanatyam. I can share my enthusiasm. I enjoy washing dishes!
