I taught English and worked on organic farms in Canada, Japan, South America and the US. My family and I enjoy a healthy, active life including, walking, cycling, swimming, hiking, yoga, writing, gardening, cooking and fermenting.

Some of my best friends were once strangers I met in community-minded travel/living situations, e.g., intentional-living communities, student dormitories, mission trips, monasteries, camp grounds, bed and breakfasts, airbnb, warm showers, wwoofing, and other volunteering, etc.
