About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much of the world as I can before life gets too serious

ABOUT ME

I love life. It's taken me 7 years to get up the courage to quit my current job and travel for a while. I am both a little scared and totally excited. I am a very active person and finished my first Half Ironman Triathlon in July. I love to laugh, am very close with my sister, and enjoy being with friends and love new experiences. I love the peaceful moments - there's nothing better than being on a hike and hearing nothing but the birds or watching the ocean waves. Some say I have the craziest ideas, but ultimately I just want to experience everything I can in this life. I have always been a very independent person and am trying this couchsurfing because it's like allowing a stranger to help you and there's always the opportunity of making a new friend :-)

PHILOSOPHY

I believe you are never alone, there is always someone listening. We have a path, though it may change and we may detour from it. Life is beautiful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I definitely want to give back and once I am back in the US and have my own place, I would love to host.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: pretty much anything - country, hip hop, R&B, oldies - my mom always played the Oldies station 50's & 60's music on the way to daycare every morning when we were little and that type of music just stuck with me.
Books: I honestly need to read more.. but love the Shopaholic series (humor), To Heaven and Back (spiritual), To Kill a Mockingbird (classic).
Movies: Inception, Avatar, The Notebook (yeah yeah total girl movie I know)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Actun Tunichil Muknal - Mayan ceremonial cave in Belize. Walked through water and saw skeletons.
Snorkeling Honeymoon Beach on St. John, Virgin Islands.
Seeing the architecture and beauty of the churches in Europe.
And finishing my Half Ironman!
