After failing my last mission to scale Mount Everest on a pogo stick while singing "She'll be coming round the mountain when she comes", I decided it was best to take some (more) time to just chill out and enjoy life =)
My name is Dan Hutchinson, 20 and I have many a nick name which I'm sure I'll let you in on if you ask =P. I'm currently about to go into my 3rd year of a Computer Science degree and so far have managed to keep the geek inside me at bay!
I love to laugh and too be honest it doesn't really take much (and when coupled with a few pints it's all the better!!), so I'm a pretty smily guy =) and go on a bit of a mission to make other people smile, just because thats the way the world should be =)
One of my biggest passions in life would have to be music, I play the guitar and sometimes the drums and I'm learning the harmonica. So if you ever fancy a jam let me know =) and being back home in the summer time always seems to inspire me to write more and more songs I love it!
I also really like taking pictures of things (I'll stick them up on the Pic Area) I don't know why but starting at the kinda stuff... Ooooof makes you feel all good inside!
Anyhoooo I shall continue to add things to this section as I think of them...
Over & Out
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm only a baby CouchSurfer! Hopefully after the end of the summer I'l have some stories to tell when me and my buddy Lance head state side for some fun in the Cali sun! =)
EVERYTHING - I love learning new things about anything, I would love to be a student the rest of my life. I love twisting and warping my brain to think in new and interesting ways.. here's just a few...
Music - I love playing music that either makes me smile, other people smile or just to get something off my chest =)
Computer Science/Technology - (Yes I'm a geek at heart), I guess Computers were designed to make peoples lives easier (and I don't think they do) so i'd really love to make a difference in this area.
Culture - You realise pretty quick that your little home town isn't an accurate representation of the rest of the world, and there are millions of people who can all teach you some cool stuff! =) (And the best thing about it is the world isn't really that big to have a go at finding it all out)
I guess the message is, If you can find something I'm not interested in, it doesn't exist (Rather paradoxical I know) I love filling my head with everything I can get my hands on (and having a laugh along the way!)
Music, Movies, and Books
My Music, to name but a few...
Rock/Blues - John Butler Trio, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, The Transplants, The Subways, Led Zeppelin, The Ting Tings, Lost Prophets, Enter Shikari, ACDC, Robert Johnson, BB King, FFAF, Thin Lizzy, The Shins, Reel Big Fish, RHCP

I guess my favorite film has to be Hotel Rwanda, really awesome film... as for all the others well I'll watch anything.. Love comedies, action films, more comedies. Ohh and I got a really weird obsession with escape films like Escape from Alkatraz & The Great Escape!?
I don't tend to read a lot of fictions books anymore, however when I do there usually along the lines of Terry Pratchet or Tolkien... Other than that I quite enjoy popular science, un-popular science (syn) Computer science... But i'm always looking for new stuff so if you got any good one's let me know =)
