I like healthy living, have a HUGE passion for food and enjoy swimming as much as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to meet new people and see the "real" side to the various destinations around the world and love the idea of sharing experiences with new people. I've been on numerous family package holidays and you never feel like you've actually been anywhere different other than some sun and a big swimming pool - I want to change that, to experience the world!
Ultimately there's a cost to travelling the world and Couchsurfing helps lower that which is always a bonus, that said - I'm always happy to cook breakfast in exchange for a bed!

Interests

Historically cars have been a huge part of my life - I ran my own business in motorsport for 6 years in the UK and gave it up to come travelling.
Now, I have a huge drive to see and experience different cultures.
I love food and cooking, learning new dishes from around the world is something I'm looking forward to!
I also love music - pretty much anything goes with me on that front!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a HUGE music fan - I was brought up listening to rhythm & blues, so Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, Otis Reading etc. so they always have a soft spot in my heart.
I love a bit of Jimmy Hendrix, the Killers, Kings of Leon, Allesso, Swedish House Mafia, KT Tunstall, Damien Rice, Dave Matthews Band, Paramore, Echosmith...

I plan to experience a few music festivals along the way too - I've been to Creamfields [the UK's biggest dance music festival] twice now but would love to see some more acoustic stuff with that incredible festival vibe!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I played as part of a big Jazz band at the San Remo Jazz Festival in Northern Italy when I was 17, the whole experience was incredible - we played various stages & amphitheatres throughout the week and absolutely fell in love with the feeling you got from being on stage in some of those intimate beachside places... it was just... incredible!

I'd love to be shown your town/city the way that a local would - the hidden café/bar/nightclub that's special because it's not in a guide book.
