About Me

***I live in Philadelphia, USA, but I am currently hosting in Armenia, Colombia at my mom's house, please be aware you'll be staying with my mom and not with me***

A simple man who loves exploring and learning about the world.

I like to help people and enjoy things more when I share them with friends.
I find joy in reading, walking in nature, cooking, and chatting with people over coffee.
I love learning new things and fun facts about any topic.

I love exploring cultures of the world, either by reading, traveling or meeting new people.

Besides traveling, I enjoy:
* reading
* listening to music (Heavy Metal, Prog. Metal, jazz, classical music)
* Meditating

Please notice:
- Couchsurfing is not a free AirBnB (neither my house nor yours is a hotel). I'd expect you to clean after, help keep my apartment tidy and organized, and don't bring people without notifying.

- Couchsurfing is about sharing, meeting people, making friends, helping your community, and making the world a better place. Take care and help someone... Eventually, someone will help you and take care of you.

Welcome to Philly!!!
Mi casa es tu casa.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started in the community when I lived in Colombia with my dad. We hosted people from different countries and it was an enriching and beautiful experience for both my dad and I. Sharing meals, cooking together, talking about politics, religion, books, films, the world, life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No matter how far I go, I know I will find a friend or a family. No matter how big the world is, I will never feel lonely.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC

I am a huge music nerd.

My favorite symphonies are Beethoven's 7th (specially the second movement), and Dvorak's 9th (specially the 1st and 4th movements).
I have certain kind of "condition" called music synesthesia, so I see patterns and shapes when I listen to music... And certain songs give me nauseas, I am very sensitive to music (I am, somehow, and very lightly, under the autism spectrum).

I enjoy Jazz, Hard rock, and classical music. If we have any favorite artist in common please let me know!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I go to jazz concerts every Thursday and to the symphony orchestra most Fridays, if you are into jazz or classical, I would love to take you with me.

I'm a member of the Franklin Institute and the art museum, so you can use my membership to get free passes for both museums.

I like to go hiking on Sunday mornings, if you are down for a nice walk in nature, I'll pack extra water and snacks for you to join me.

I make amazing burgers, if you want we can split the bill and get ingredients, I'd love to cook for you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have books about Philadelphia: its history, culture, and most important spots to visit. I can guide you through the city and give my personal recommendations for parks, walks, and food.

I know what it is like to travel and feel the urge to be home. I hope you can find peace and love in my place.

There's always coffee and tea, Wi-Fi, clean sheets, and most importantly, friendship and respect.
