About Me

I am a born and bred Buffalonian looking to make my way around the world one couch at a time. I am currently on gap time from university and working as a full time nanny. I will return to university in the spring to complete degrees in journalism and theatre/dramatic arts. I love cats (cliché but true), the X-Files, and strawberries.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a student and therefore attempting to travel safely on a budget.

Interests

Hockey: Let's go Buff-a-lo. This is our year, we swear...
Music: Vocalist, pianist, various other instrument-alist.
Literature: Science fiction, fantasy, anything written by a female writer.
Theatre: Director, stage manager, appreciator.
Travel: To be expected on this site, but I believe traveling and exposing yourself to as many cultures as you can is one of the most worthwhile uses of time.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Fleetwood Mac, Twenty One Pilots, The Beatles (again, chiché but I'm convinced no one dislikes the Beatles), Regina Spektor.
Movies: Contact, Little Miss Sunshine, Miracle, Silver Linings Playbook.
Books: To Kill a Mockingbird, A Wrinkle in Time, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, along with various poetry collections.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Navigated the public transportation in Madrid alone with zero knowledge of Spanish. This does not sound very impressive, but I assure you this was no small feat and took an embarrassing amount of time to complete. I also snuck a photo of the Mona Lisa, not to brag or anything.

Teach, Learn, Share

As far as teaching goes, I am the unofficial guide to everything Buffalo. My city boasts a very unique, welcoming culture that I hope will draw more people to the city. I seek to learn as much as I can from wherever I can.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a quiet individual, usually seen toting around the novel of the day, and am very easy to coexist with.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
