About Me

feet in the air, head on the ground. rambling out to a beautiful place and who knows what's next, ever.

On a permanent vacation of sorts, and trying to find the next spot to build a home in, or some fun work. I went to college in Vermont, majoring in Environmental Sciences, and plan on creating a homestead for myself in the very near future. Searching for like minded humans to share time with, and create connections each place I go.

Living As the Sea and the Rhythm

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Human connections are some of the strongest forces of nature, and how crazy that a force so strong can happen on a couch!

Hiking, photographing, conversation , camping, eating, drinking water, yawning, sun bathing, playing saxophone, gardening, skiing and snowboarding, climbing and bouldering, fermenting everything

Music, Movies, and Books

bluegrass, metal, jazz, funk, rocknroll, mississippi delta blues... fleet foxes, incredible string band, mountain man, blitzen trapper, the eels, wilco, the kinks, beck, lightnin hopkins, Allen toussaint, the books...

I read haruki murukami, David Foster wallace, kafka, kerouac, junot diaz, nietzsche, camus, coelho, and I have been studying the Tibetan book of the dead for almost a decade now

I watch an obscene amount of movies, i like that guy wes anderson. And the Coen brothers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Blue-ridged mountain air breathing, clouds rolling through the cascades and waking me at dawn to fawns, finding a small snail in the rice fields in Thailand, dolphins swimming along my boat in alaska while wind-howling and wine-drinkin, sipping Chai on a balcony in kerala india while rain poured on the tea fields and fog creeped in, head out the window hitchin on a semi down 80 west with a whole bunch of chickens and a guy from nebraska

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach henna tattoo, calligraphy, saxophone, fermentation, health cooking, bird mapping, canning and preserving, bowdrill fires, root cellar construction, adobe work, ironwork, copperwork, tons of primitive skills, speed reading, maybe more, I want to learn much and anything.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A home cooked thai meal and a cold pack of beer
