PHILOSOPHY

I feel as a society we've become fear mongers and atypically wary of hospitality and general, perpetual kindness. In my opinion, there should be one rule, and only one rule: do whatever it is you need to/feel like/must without hurting or harming or infringing upon anyone else. All in all, I simply try to do the best that I can, and make sure that I'm kind and friendly and non-harmful to others and to the environment. It is here where there is much debate but here where I must be very clear. I do not agree with any one form of government, any one philosophy, and certainly not any one religion. I feel all have moments of brilliance overshadowed and tarnished by moments of weakness. I do have a personal ideology called Homo sapiens 101. If anyone would like to read it, please let me know. It could change your life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to form a repore here with those using this website because I believe that it is an excellent source for travellers, and I dream of many travels. Although I do not boast availability of a couch because the couch belongs to my parents, and they are not as comfortable as I with general hospitality, I will take whomever would like to come out to coffee and will show them around Hub City and its surrounding areas. I will gladly participate in active communication and brilliant conversation. I will gladly participate in party-going and bar-hopping.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The way I heard about couchsurfing.com was, I trudged up the steps of the New Brunswick home where many a time I couchsurfed, or really, couch crashed, and there sleeping on my bed away from my bed were two travellers, as weary as I. Angered by the presence of these strangers, I inquired as to thier doings on MY bed (away from my bed). My pseudo-roommate told me of couchsurfing.com, and as a result of the situation I had to walk home alone at 3am...in New Brunswick...in February. Since, I have been incredibly interested in couchsurfing.com and all that it has to offer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw a rainbow sitting calmly below me in a valley of mountains beside the Swiss Alps. I've seen the kindness of strangers, of friends, of lovers. I've seen hatred on the streets. I've seen suffering, I've seen unmitigated sadness and unparalelled joy. I've seen enough such that I am not sheltered, but not enough to have lost all hope.
