establishing lasting connections with good people, attain equanimity
I grew up in a small beach town in Massachusetts. Went to highschool to study Graphic art and design, part way through realizing that I liked art too much to make it a profession. So I joined the US Air Force as an aircraft engine mechanic. Completed my enlistment and have been traveling ever since. wwoofing and traveling in NZ, backpacking and working in Australia and taking a holiday in SE Asia. I just returned home to see my brand new niece and I need to find a social group to become a part of.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted plenty of my friends or acquaintances that became friends. No one through the site yet and I've finally surfed a couch through the site and it was great! I've gotten to surf more since I wrote that and I can't wait to host officially.
been wwoofing which is like couch surfing with work added on and food supplied. I've surfed my first couch through this site in Napier and it was great! I've couch surfed some squats now too, wonderful.
learning and being more physically active. I love snowboarding and hashing. I am currently just interested in finding a good group to hang out with! I've returned to the area recently after an 8 year absence and my old social circle has moved on mostly.
Music, Movies, and Books
myth of sanity is a great book that helped me understand a little about my own inner workings when i was a teenager. No Touch Monkey was a great travel book for me and I suggest it for other women in particular. Music is such a joy. I prefer different kinds for varying moods and atmospheres, but i like mostly dancing to r&b, salsa, 80's, oldies, and some pop. Tool, VAST and a few other artists fulfill my desire for spiritual/exceptional music. A lot of rock, jazz and alternative really, as long as it is actaully rock. goofy songs, classical music, rap in small doses keeps it all fresh.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
i can lick my elbow. they say its physically impossible
