Perhaps my friends would say that I could be relied upon to help them when they need help. They might say that I like to have intelligent conversation and learn from it and from other people. They might say I know a thing or two about history and literature.

PHILOSOPHY

I am unabashedly liberal and unrepentant about it! I believe in live and let live, and value tolerance highly. I live to dream.

I like to hike and backpack alot and have walked hundreds of miles. I have a passion for paddling canoes and sometimes kayaks. When I travel, I usually seek outdoor beauty and natural experiences rather than crowded cities. I read constantly and greatly appreciate good writing, both fiction and non-fiction. Music is very important to me and I see live music often. I was a percussionist and a singer, still love to sing and bang on skins.

I love bluegrass, rock, folk, jazz, blues everything except opera and country western. right now I'm reading volume 1 of Shelby Foote's "Civil War- A Narrative". Just finished "A Team of Rivals".

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Hiking the Mist trail in Yosemite and seein Vernal and Nevada Falls for the first tiem. Hiking the Na Pali coast of Kauai. Hiking the Skyline Trail in Jasper Natl Park in Alberta. Watching the birth of our baby girl Elly, and the birth of our baby boy Galen.
