About Me

I am an adventurous dad with two amazing little girls. I love the outdoors, travelling to new places, all sorts of music, the game of chess and meeting new people. I currently live in Kelowna in the beautiful Okanagan valley. I play chess once a week with some friends. I am active in a group informing people of the effects of electromagnetic radiation and radio frequencies. I like to hike and camp around this area. Taking my girls ice skating is one of my favorite things to do in the winter. Snowboarding used to be a big part of my life and maybe it will again when my children are older.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am new to the couchsurfing community and am wanting to get more involved in the sharing of spaces for good people.

Sometimes I travel solo for events of my interest or just to see a new place. Also I like the idea of being connected with some locals.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is a big part of my life and I am very open to all sorts. I have recently been into any music that has good aligorical lyrics or informative to what is going on around us. I also like to listen to jazz or other good instrumental music.

I also love to read, there is never enough time to read all the books that I want to but I make time for topics that interest me. I have many books on Antonio Gaudi ( my favorite architect). I have books on child education and uprising in alternative ways. And many other books nonfiction and fiction in a vast amount of subjects.

I rarely watch tv but I do enjoy a good movie here and there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I used to do forest fire fighting there were many instances where I saw fire behaviour that was truly amazing. Also some of the areas where we fought these fires were in the most pristine old growth wilderness.

Zip lining on Grouse Mountain in Vancouver was quite the experience.

Snowboarding in Revelstoke on a heavy dumping of fresh powder is an UNREAL experience every time!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to have good conversations and to share and learn from each other.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I always bring along with me some good time tested recipes from minestrone to guacamole. Cooking a few good meals for a place to rest my head is one way I can contribute.
