About Me

ABOUT ME

I think I know too much, but not enough, and I think my values and opinions are at odds with the majority. I'm apt to get in senseless arguments with people who are ignorant because they mention a keyword and I say something about how some people do something like that a certain way and I wish they would do it differently to save time or for everyones' benefit. I'm the kind of guy who types something the way he would say it but then nobody can parse it because their English skills aren't up to par. I'm the kind of guy who types it really quickly and reads it really quickly and doesn't have to go back to correct typos since well, who the hell doesn't notice when they make an obvious typo, oh wait, everyone. Oh, but I am not literary, that is, I don't read a lot of fiction. I like graphic novels, zines, sacred texts, poems, and spiritual writings by "masters". I really don't like obvious scientific non-fiction, tedious and uninteresting realistic fiction about normal human problems with money, relationships, and self doubt, and I also really don't like bad lyrics about problems that really unwise people would create for themselves. I don't like to talk about philosophy, politics, or spirituality, because, well, we inevitably underestimate the depth of (or misunderstand) each others' positions.

I like to relax, but I also like to "stir it up".
I prefer to be candid, casual, and kidding. I find politeness to be hurtful, since I often get accused of being rude, and there's no convincing someone who doesn't like you because you are disrespectful to just be happy, and since you can't be thanked for being polite, except in a polite way, in which case it doesn't feel genuine, because it is imitative of fake and exploitative capitalist relations.

Yep, I know about that counterculturally inclined activity or technique, and I dig it. Especially if it is weird.

When I walk in a field, I regret having to step on so many lifeforms. I think, maybe if I took wider steps... which is a bit like the problem of finding the right speed to run in the rain to get the least wet. A little rain never hurt anyone, but now I feel unoriginal.

Interests

Hobbies: Pro audio, pro computing, "keyboard shortcuts", electronic composition, tracker music, listening, watching, watching while listening, piano, guitar, drumming, etcetera.

Another list: Biking, long distance skateboard cruising, jogging, sprints, extreme walking ;), emoting positively in no particular direction near totally disinterested parties, composition of compound sentences, letting silence speak for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once, I turned on my laptop, connected it to a lapdesk with speakers, and set it up as a totally crazy feedback dub box. Before, earlier, I had the impression that I made it rain, since I had been listening to some tracks outdoors, and then immediately when I placed my laptop in the car, under the roof, it began to rain. Don't doubt that I played a part, unless you don't understand the science of pressure waves.

Also, uh, unusual flying objects are stalking me. True story...
