I'm Irish and have been living in Melbourne for the past 3 years. I’m an easy going friendly guy who’s up for a laugh and doesn’t like to hold a grudge. I’m normally a bit quiet at first but once I know you come out of my shell a lot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been to some of the meet ups and meet some really nice people. I have moved to a new place and my flatmate and I have decided we should become Hosts. Hopefull it will be all good!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Meet a lot of people through CouchSurfing when I first came to Australia. I never stayed with anyone just went to the meet ups but I really like the people I meet. Now that I have a place and couch I want to give back.

Interests

I love clever, beautifully designed or skillfully made objects or art. I am a big fan (and sometimes participant) of street art. I passionate about rugby, both playing and watching (particularly if Ireland or Munster are playing). I love to read. I enjoy nights out with friends and am more of a pub kind of person then a club kind of person which is not to say I never dance my little hart out after a couple of drinks. Love trying / experiencing new things and am rarely the one who says no when anything fun is suggested.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies I like would be things like.. Full metal jacket, Fight Club, The Shawshank redemption, The Goonies, Anchorman and the list could go on and on.

My music taste tends to lean to Rock or Indie folk/rock but I listen to a huge mix of different stuff and love to go to festivals.

My taste in books tends to lean towards fiction rather then biographies or non-fiction and I like books that can make me laugh or think. Some books that I have read (or reread recently that I liked would be “Rant”, “The Painted Man”, “The Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy”, “A brave new world”, “Something Happened”. I always have to have a book that I am reading or about to start.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently went to China and had the opportunity to walk along a large section of the great wall with not one other person in sight. That was pretty cool.

Teach, Learn, Share

People who have a craft like sculptors, jewelry makers, carpenters anyone who creates anything. I also creat my own art and would be happy to teach anyone how I do it.
