ABOUT ME

25 year old guy from South Jersey. I'm on a grand ol roadtrip hitting lots of National Parks across the west. Doing my best to stop in some cool cities and check them out along the way. Its hard to come up with stuff to say about myself. Easy going and I'm getting good at going with the flow. I'm pretty sure I can have a good time with anyone.

PHILOSOPHY

My current philosophy is to get out and enjoy the world I haven't been able to see yet. Just finished school and I want to get some travel in maybe find a new place to live. Just wanna have a great time and not be too serious. I'm pretty light hearted and enjoy some sarcasm and funny people. I can't spell to save my life but I tend to be able to get my point across. New to couchsurfing and looking for people to meet and places to see/stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

New to couchsurfing - lots of people I've met in my travels so far have told me to join and that it's a great way to meet people and get a place to stay in towns and cities I want to visit. Looking forward to meeting new people in new places. I've been fortunate to couchsurf a bit on this trip just by meeting differnt people along the way - I think this site will help make some connections.

Interests

Interested in anything outdoors.
Would love to go hiking or backpacking with anyone interested in going to a new place or sharing an old favorite. Hoping to learn to ski and get proficient with rock climbing. I enjoy various types of music for the most part. Getting outdoors is great but I'm just at home on the couch watching some good TV too. It'd be cool to get a better, more local feel to cities I may travel to with the help of a host.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is pretty all over. Currently enjoying downtempo music but loud dance music is awesome also and always makes for a super fun concert. Alternative rock is great anything from whacky bands to ones everyone knows about. Deep down don't we all appreciate some rap? I do. Pandora is the best. Movies - I think movies I pick out are usually typical dude movies BUT I will watch almost any movie playing in front of me and will get drawn in even if it's something I wouldn't put on myself. Not much of a reader but everytime I pick up a book I tell myself I should be taking more time to sit down with a book. Reccommend me a good one.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Earlier this summer I traveled to India with some friends. The complete difference in culture and surroundings was eye opening. From the crowded, bustling city streets of Delhi to the majestic Taj Mahal - the differences were vast and thats what made it great. Travelling on to Northeast India to the Khasi Hills where the people live a very self sustaining life as they have for hundreds of years - hardworking, dilligent, and very happy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn some more outdoor recreational skills - mountain biking, skiing, climbing, anything on ice and snow that I haven't been exposed to near the beaches of New Jersey.
