CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to cover as much of the US as I can over the next 7 weeks as possible, gathering as many great experiences and meeting as many interesting characters as I can along the way.

ABOUT ME

I'm a professional geek who somehow got let out of the office for a couple of months to go and travel and have a break from my career.

I love to experience new things and although I can tend to be quite shy at times, I love to throw myself out of my comfort zone and force myself to be the opposite.

PHILOSOPHY

I can't say I have a strong personal philosophy, but if anything I guess try anything once, respect others despite your differences and don't dismiss anyone or anything based on first impressions.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently travelling and only just found the couch surfing thing, so I'm only currently looking for places to crash myself.

I'd really like to offer my place to others when I get back home though. I think this is a great idea and a wonderful way to meet new people, especially from different cultures and backgrounds to myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Interests

I love food (pretty much all of it), Movies, Music (again I can generally find something I like in most genres), Reading (especially travelling stories) and going out and meeting new people whenever possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like pretty cheesy comedy movies like Will Ferrell stuff etc, my sense of humor can be pretty silly. As I've said above I enjoy all types of music as long as it expresses genuine feeling and isn't purely manufactured. I enjoy reading travel literature when I'm on the road but admittedly don't often find the time to read enough when I'm back home.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't think I can really list one thing that I'd class as amazing. Life constantly surprises and amazes me and I think that's th best way to live. To leave yourself open to new things and not look back too much at past achievements.

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess if I can teach anything practical it would be the skills I have with computers and software. But I'd certainly be happy to share any information about the UK and tips for travelling there.
