I'm a friendly outgoing guy.
After completing my studies at art college I wanted to, "see Europe and learn a language". After a month long inter-rail adventure I ended up in Berlin, Germany where I stayed for many years and of course learnt to speak german fluently.
After many years of living in a big city I wanted a complete change so I found a beutiful little stone cottage in the Massiv de Maures mountains in the south of France.
I love it here, I love the solitude !... I experiment, cooking asian and mediteranean food - especially indian and thai curries. I also paint and produce hand-made soap.
Another passion of mine is travelling and riding wooden roller coasters !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I do a lot of travelling - mostly short trips around Europe and can offer delicious curries or mediterranean in exchange for a sofa and a chance to meet new faces!

I'm new to this, so we'll see how it turns out !!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I bought a classic wooden roller coaster, completely refurbished it and ran it for 11 years at Brean Leisure Park in the UK.
One of my passions is roller coasters and this was a dream that I was able to realise!
...even better, the roller coaster I bought was the first one I rode on as a child !!!
