About Me

Hey there! I reckon I shall be writing this in English since I'll mostly be traveling in the US and the rest of Canada, but let it be said that I'm Québécois so please forgive any mistakes I may and will make!!

Everyone speaks French here in Québec, so it's extremely rare that I get the opportunity to practice my English, but that's about to change!

Indeed, I intend to explore the wonders these huge countries have to offer, but that's just half the fun I'm gonna have. The other half, who knows, might just come from meeting you!

To me, ultimately life is about evolution. Personal evolution and evolution of a greater whole. In both cases, we are not given to comprehend the process so it all comes down to having faith in ourselves and in a Higher purpose. Intent, letting go and acceptance are virtues that aren't easy to master, but I believe they are keys to personal evolution. I also believe in the Law of Attraction.

That's just a glimpse of how I see life. Perhaps you'll do me the honor of sharing your own perception someday?

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I've been hosted by many very nice people in the US and Canada so far, but I haven't had many chances to host travellers as very few travel to the small town where I live!

I've been traveling in the USA/Canada in the Summer 2013. I've been hosted by some amazing people, and connected with many more as well. I'm so grateful to this website for it's given me the opportunity to meet all these wonderful persons. This experience truly is mind expanding to me. Please let me know if I can help in any ways while you're in my town!

I really like to spend time in nature, just taking time to blend in. Whether it's hiking, biking, camping, swimming, picnicking, goofing around, meditating, kayaking, star-gazing, having a campfire... I'm all down for it!

In more urban settings, I like to go out and have a beer with friends, in fact I'd love to give YOUR favorite pub a try! I enjoy restaurants as well, however I have to mention that I'm vegetarian. I really love all animals, so if you have any they'll surely get lots of attention from me!

Another thing that I really like, which might seem rather usual, is having honest discussions! It's very rewarding for me to feel that I've established a sincere link with someone. If we meet, please be true and talk to me straight from your soul!!! I'm open to so many things... spirituality, astrology, UFOs, occult, science fiction, emotions (yes, I do speak my emotions and no, I am not gay!), synchronicities, life experiences, etc! Let's share it!

Music, Movies & Books

Music's been a huge part of my life. I'd say I have a grunge/electro/punk/metal/industrial background. I'm trying to open up to other genres too. I especially enjoy bands such as Tool and A Perfect Circle which really strike a chord for me.

Movies now? Just a few: Contact, V for Vendetta, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Into the Wild, La Belle Verte, The Thirteenth Floor, Existenz, 28 Days Later, Enemy Mine, The Fountain, What Dreams May Come, 1984, Dead Poets Society, Powder, Dune, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Abyss, The Men Who Stare at Goats, Avatar, The Matrix, Cocoon... That's more than a few, isn't it?

As for books, I've enjoyed devouring the works of authors such as Franz Kafka and Boris Vian in the past. I haven't been reading too much recently though, but I always make sure I've got an Eckart Tolle book close by!

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I'd be hard-pressed to name just a few, but what comes to mind right now? I've run a dog kennel for two years, breeding Basenjis and Shiba Inu; it was an amazing experience! I've also recorded my own music album (electro-industrial), let's just say it was... liberating and therapeutic! I've also been writing a lot in my life and I'm happy to have had a novel of mine published. Then I've also tried skydiving - 13,500 feet, 1 minute of freefall! Pretty intense!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe there's something to be learned or shared through most encounters we have, so I say let's just be in the present moment when we meet and we might as well both get something great out of it!

Other than that, I guess I could teach you a few French words if you'd like... On the other hand, if you could please help me out when I'm searching for words or when I say something the wrong way, that would be really nice! Writing in English is one thing, speaking it is definitely another for me as I sometimes tend to get a bit shy due to my French accent and all! :p
