About Me

I am a Phd student in physics. Hopefully finishing soon. I like meeting people from all over the world and to connect with them to learn from them. I am open-minded trying to understand as much as possible and not to judge people to early. I think a lot about life and earth and how to make the world a little bit better.
I am living together with my lovely girl-friend in a city close to Berlin.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I would like to meet people from all over the world and to share knowledge and experiences with them. When travelling I would like to meet local people and to find out about their life in their specific area.

Interests

I play guitar, like doing any kind of sports, I started improvisiontheater. I am a vegan for ethical reasons and I care about the environment. I like to cook and I am always excited about new ingredients.
I like fitness, especially Parkour and Calisthenics with bodyweight exercises. I do exercise about 5 days a week. I'm beginning to make Yoga a short routine in the morning.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like pretty much any kind of music. I am always open for new kinds of music. Currently, I listen to Boysetsfire, Wolfmother, Björk, Portishead, Blink 182, etc.
I love watching movies; at most sci-fi movies like Star Trek, Star Wars, Twelve Monkeys, Inception, Moon, Interstellar but actually the genre doesn't matter so much! I love Ghibli movies like Princess Mononoke, Castle in the Clouds, Spirited Away.
Books are a great adventure even sitting at home. At the moment I am usually reading non-fiction books. The last fiction book I have read was Game of Thrones. I do like graphic novels especially Neil Gaimons books are fantastic!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I always admired people on stage playing improv. I have never imagined acting on stage because I am not such an extroverted person and I don't like much attention. When a workshop was offered in my town I enrolled and learned to improvise. Finally, I found myself up on stage acting. I am doing a 3rd workshop and performed 3 times on stage and it's really amazing and a fantastic feeling even if so much goes wrong. So I really did something that I wasn't thinking I was capable doing. This changed my philosophy into "everything is possible - just try!"

Teach, Learn, Share

Since I am doing a PhD in physics I can teach you physics stuff. I am a vegan and I love to cook. I could teach you how to cook plant-based. We could also have fun improvising little scenes in freeze takes or funny little games about word association or picture association. I play guitar not the best but I could share my knowledge ;)
Recently, I experimented with self made sodas made of water kefir. I made my first ginger ale ;)
