About Me

To make this world a little less selfish than it is getting currently. And to fight for boarders to stay open to everyone.

Always learn.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my opinion, the highest mission of a couchsurfer is to share something. No matter what it is. According to your free time of course. Some hours, stories, experiences, ideas, knowledge, wine and bread...

I only accept guests when I have time to take care of them.

Please do not send me any request if you only consider couchsurfing as a way of travelling cheap, or if you only need a free accommodation.

I only had nice experiences with cool CSers. Let's hope it lasts.

Literatur, music, sports and cultural exchanges.
I love going out on the evening, but I'm not the kind of disco-freak at all. I prefer to sit with friends in pubs. I can do it for hours. Cinema freak too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Waw, hard to select.

Literatur: Marcel Proust, Marguerite Duras, Pascal Quignard, Marguerite Yourcenar, Patrick Modiano, Jean Echenoz, Claude Simon - Tchekov, Dostoievski, Tolstoï, Boulgakov, Pouchkine - David Grossmann - Mahmoud Darwish, Yves Bonnefoy

Music: basically a lot of jazz (from Coltrane, Davis, until Diana Krall and Melody Gardot), classical (mainly baroque), experimental (Boulez, Winter Family), rock/pop (Bowie, Joy Division, The Smiths, Sigur Ros) and a lot of opera. And some unclassifiable musicians as well such as Gainsbourg, Björk...

Cinema: all kind of independent movies from all over the world, Ozon, N Birge Ceylan, Farhadi, Zviaguintsev, Golubovic, Pawlikowski...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, it depends on what you call "amazing"; actually, the most impressive thing I've seen is the Rift Valley in Ethiopia. Huge. Immensity feeling. It was just so much for me that I even cried.
And otherwise...a collection of the book "The Little Prince" in foreign languages. But I think it's rather a kind of common collection?!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach: French langage (it's my job...) and French cooking. I cook a lot. Each day of the week. Specially with fresh products.

I want to learn to play the accordeon (I've got one but I can't play, it's a shame) and I would love to be able to make photos.

And one of my projects for the next years is to follow a course in French wine, cause I would like to know it better.
