About Me

I've traveled the world studying theatre in London, England, stunt film acting in Brisbane & Gold Coast Australia, and Broadway Theatre at Teatro San Martin in Buenos Aires, Argentina. However, my childhood included running like Forest Gump in 26.2 mile marathons [in LA, San Francisco, San Diego, Orange County CA, y Buenos Aires] and triathlons [0.5mile swim, 18mi bike, 4mi run] in Malibu, CA & South Beach Miami, FL.
I love to travel, learn new languages, cultures, and make new friends. I am currently considering MFA graduate study to begin in Fall 2017.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While I lived in southern California for 5 years, I welcomed other travelers into my living space. Now I am hoping to network with other hosts and hope I don't get lost in New York City (again) or save money when I travel to London, England in June when I go to see Phil Collins in concert in Hyde Park.
To be honest, I am a Hyatt Gold Passport member but would rather save money...and even better, make new friends when I travel. To quote Benedict de Spinoza, the 17 century philospher, who said, "But everything great is just as difficult to realize as it is rare to find."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I first relocated from Birmingham, Alabama to Los Angeles, CA, I was not aware that I had a 'southern' accent until people asked "where are you from" as if I was foreigner in Hollywood? I had never been to the Pacific Ocean (in California) before and, since I am a marathon runner, I ran from Los Feliz [east LA] to Santa Monica Beach...where I slept on the beach for the night [since I had not prepared to bring my wallet], and I ran back the next day.
I've also hiked from NYC to Washington D.C. to South Carolina, wearing my Teva Jesus-like sandles.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share memories of meeting Hollywood celebrities like Paul McCartney and not recognizing who he was. Asking him "why The Beetles broke up" he looked at me like I was stupid...I was later reminded by a friend that John Lennon was no longer 'alive'. While I like the song "Hey Jude", I was never a Beetles fan. Sorry, Paul.
