About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn 7 more languages, get accepted to Medecins Sans Frontieres!

ABOUT ME

Hi there! I am currently studying Anthropology at a University here in Texas. Thanks to my studies, I am now obsessed with travelling, meeting new people, and exploring this amazing world!

I live and travel with my girlfriend who is also obsessed with travelling, and seeing new exciting places and learning new languages!

I am a backpacker, mountain biker, skier, photographer, and about anything else I can get my hands on. I live very simple at home, to save for several big trips a year! I'd like to think that I am very easy going, and look forward to getting to know you!

PHILOSOPHY

Learns as much as you can, try new things, treat people with respect and kindness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am travelling, but in about 2-3 weeks I should be able to open up a room for couchsurfers here in Austin!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Interests

I spend my time reading, taking photos, gardening, biking, enjoying the amazing Austin music scene and looking for new places to travel and languages to learn!

I am a very passionate cook, well versed in dozens of cuisines, if you have a kitchen i'd love to cook you a meal while I am staying! If you are visiting me, and willing to help with groceries, I will keep you well fed!

I've also been active on Reddit for over 4 years now.

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now i'm listening to Bonobo, Trampled by Turtles and Sleigh Bells. I've also been into 8-bit chiptune as of late.

As for movies there isn't much I don't watch. I stray away from blockbusters except the rare ones

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things was seeing the space shuttle launch in Florida. Seeing something leave the earth really amazed me. I am lucky that I got to see such an amazing machine in action before it was retired.

Another thing I can think of is the first 14er I summited in Colorado, and looking around at all the other peaks sitting thousands of feet above everything else was breathtaking.

I once sat in on an open heart surgery, and got to look at a human heart beating inside someones chest. It was incredibly sobering, and I will never forget it. I list it among the most amazing things that I have seen or done in my life.
