About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My roommate and I would LOVE to meet, host, and show around people from out of town! We're native to the area and are desperate to travel but currently lack the funds so we're attempting to live vicariously through someone else.
ABOUT ME
About me: I'm not very good at describing myself. In the context of couchsurfing: I like travel, meeting new people, going new places, and studying languages. I'm not sure how much interest there is for my neck of the woods, but I have a couch (potentially a room) available for anyone who wants to make it up this way! My roommate is a lot like me: we both studied linguistics and LOVE travel, learning languages, and meeting new people. Even if you don't need a place to stay, we'd love to meet you for coffee and show you around a bit.
PHILOSOPHY
I unironically use "yolo" sometimes because I think internet slang is hilarious and also I think that it's a good idea to take risks and try new things. I'm actually pushing my boundaries a bit with this--and I really hope that it turns out to be a good thing!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: currently I am obsessed with the soundtrack to the movie "Whip It." I also quite enjoy 90s alternative, pop, electronic, rap, indie, and rock.
Movies: "Whip It" is probably my favorite movie. I also unapologetically love 90s chick flicks (think Clueless, 10 Things I Hate About You), action movies, and Marvel movies.
Books: Harry Potter will always hold a dear place in my heart. Diana Wynne Jones is still one of the best authors I've ever read. David Crystal has some really good linguistics stuff.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't want to be cliche, but I was SO proud of myself when I graduated from university. I had a bit of a bumpy ride, but I eventually made it, which feels like a pretty big accomplishment for me.
Teach, Learn, Share
Linguistics is one of my favorite things ever and I would love to tell you all about it. Really.
I can also teach you a lot about certain auto-immune disorders.
