About Me

>>>I only host solo travelers. No groups of two or more and Please don't send me a request more than 10 days ahead of time. I can not plan more than ten days from today. <<< Enjoy this even if i can't host you in SF: }} {{
(Iski rhymes with Whiskey.) I speak with my entire body. My face hides nothing. I'm a passionate everything nerd. I party soft, and I sing a lot. I stop and smell flowers and try to cuddle pretty much every animal i see.

I was reared in Jacksonville/Beach, Florida, escaping the bible belt on my joyous 19th birthday. My heart is in San Francisco. Culturally, my childhood was influenced more by the internet than by meatspace. I had/have very few friends in my hometown. I dropped out of school in 7th grade and started college early, which really saved my life. Took two years of Behavioral/Physiology/Perception stuff at UCF in Orlando. Finally taking advantage of my wanderlust I spent the better part of four years backpacking between North American intentional communities & interesting universities: crashing the courses of my favorite authors/explorers, and staying in dorms thanks to similar websites i used before finding couchsurfing. Took a 6 month roadtrip in summer 2008 and found the SF bay as the place to start over. I lived in Berkeley & San Francisco for 2 years each, studying everything i could and getting myself into wonderful conversations at tea parties and the nearly limitless supply of potlucks and acro/bodywork/healer gatherings. I participate at the local Hackerspace learning and teaching much more than i ever did in school. In 2012 I moved to Europe and hitchhiked around for 2.5 years working on my computer, immersing myself in the cities and the rural culture equally, to learn languages, foods, ways of interacting and sharing ideas i had known nothing about. Now I'm back in SF looking for intentional community, teamwork, and some clever hiking buddies.

Travel wishlist (want to go with me?):
Brasil, Andalucia, नेपाल(Nepal), ประเทศไทย(Thailand,) Schweizer Alpen, Ísland, & any parts of Africa, S. America, Asia.

I love sharing! I love company! Almost never prefer to be without it. I have an insatiable interest with interpersonal psychology and language. I believe honesty, openness, and an assertive outlook are the most important qualities one can have. With these principles, many people could be liberated from a lot of their suffering.

I'm about as cuddly as they come, human contact (thru hugs, massage, and conversation) is my lifeforce.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When i surf, I hitchhike and travel slowly; my dates are rarely exact! I'm looking for people with free time or those I can follow around and share a bit of their daily lives with me. It's also possible that bad weather or other happenstance will change my path and i might not even make it where i was going.

I moderate the Travel Companions, Hitchhikers, and East Bay groups. And i love Rural Surfing.

Met up with and organized a lot of meetings regularly in the cities I've lived: Orlando, Berkeley, San Francisco, Berlin, and along my US/Canada Roadtrip.

2005:Did A LOT of college self-touring by way of roadtrip or backpack before I found CS I used other sites. Evergreen State, Simon's Rock, Hampshire, Reed, Berkeley, MIT, CalTech & New College were my favorites.

CS Camp at Burning Man 2007 & 2008.

CSurfed Cuba, Japan, Korea, The Eastern Yucatan, & Most of Mainland North America along the latter 7 months of 2008.

2009: Finally started hosting while living in Berkeley with my roommates! Have been surfing almost 2 years of my life, on 300+ couches and hosted about 75 surfers. I like hosting more than surfing. I always have all this space and i use less than 10% of it! I love to fill it with globe trotting folk and extracting what knowledge and passions i can from them. And MAN i love taking care of people, especially travel weary ones!

Teach, Learn, Share

You only have one life to live. Being shy is a waste of precious time you could be having fun. Being afraid of people is a waste of your thought processes! Interact with strangers. Don't leave anything to uncertainty.

Cooperation is key. Education, freedom of information, healthcare, skillsharing, and DIY (DIT: Do it together is even better) must be spread! And a little hedonism every now and then is equally important.
