'about me's are my least favorite thing in the world....does that say enough?
okay, here we go....

My partner and I have been working as outdoor educators, teambuilding facilitators, and backcountry guides for the last 8-10ish years, mostly with children, but lately with adults. We are both currently sea kayaking guides in Seward, Alaska, which is a job that runs during the summer, meaning we have winters off!

So what better way to spend 6 months than traveling around Spain! I wanted to come to Spain specifically to learn the language and eat tons of tapas. So far, I'm exceeding in one and not so much in the other...any guesses?

From October - December, I will travel around Madrid, Burgos, and San Sebastian, while also wwoofing/working on some farms in the provice of Huesca.

Part of why I chose to come and live in Spain for 6 months was so that I could learn the language, and of course, hanging out with locals is probably one of the best ways to immerse oneself into the culture and the area, with the awesome benefit of making new friends.

From January - March, my partner, Ryan, is coming to join me and we plan to follow the winter sun and explore Andalucia, with the potential of disappearing into the hills to go rock climbing for a few weeks or so....

We would love to meet folks who want to hang out, go out, and/or lend us their couch. We're easy :)

I love food - from soil, to stove, to table, to sharing it. all of it.

I also love the outdoors. Camping, rock climbing, kayaking, backpacking, stars, wildflowers, you name it.

I have shared many a campfire in Joshua Tree (a famous climbing spot in southern California) with many foreigners, a few of them Spanish, and am excited to be on the other side of the exchange this time!

Also, cats. I like cats. (dogs too...)
