I am a computer programmer aka software developer. I have a job in Lehi, Utah but am currently living in Riverside, California to sell our house. Hopefully, escrow will close the end of December. We have 6 kids, 1 unofficially foster daughter, 17 grandkids and 1 great-grandchild. I enjoy square dancing, reading, watching videos, and learning new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My wife and I are in the process of moving from California to Utah. I will be on my own in Utah for the first week in January, 2017 until she arrives. She has to stay behind to be with our daughter who is ill and going in for an MRI the first week in January. So for a few days, I will need somewhere to sleep. I don't want to find a place for both of us without my wife with me. And temporarily renting a studio apartment or room would require 1 months rent plus probably a deposit, most of which I would forfeit. And staying in a motel for a week would probably cost more than a cheap studio for a month would. So, I guess you might say my major motivation is saving money. Sorry its such a boring reason. But I'm a terrible liar.
