ABOUT ME

I am an environmental engineer that has moved back to the US after living in New Zealand for 4 years. I started out backpacking there, but fell in love with the landscape and the people and it was hard to pull myself away when the time came!

I feel that I am easy going and open minded. I try to gain as much perspective as possible by traveling and meeting new people and trying new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience was crashing on a few couches while I was backpacking in New Zealand. I have always been so impressed by the amazing people who decide to open their homes to fellow travellers. Since moving back to the US, I have hosted several 'surfers and always try to keep a couch open for a weary traveler.

Interests

Learning from experience. I also hope to improve my Spanish and one day live in a non-English speaking country.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm very in to electronic music at the moment, but I listen to a wide range of genres. It really just depends on the mood at the time.

I read as often as I can. My favorite authors are G.G. Marquez, Cormack McCarthy, Dostoyevski, Nabokov, Ken Kesey, and Steinbeck.

I try to avoid television as much as possible, although I do enjoy interesting movies and documentaries.
