ABOUT ME

I'm 23, getting ready to go to school after a long stint in the military, and I'm planning to pursue a career in conservation biology. I have a great passion for the outdoors and the natural sciences, so it seemed a great combination of the two- not to mention I get to try and save the planet! I'm also a pretty solid cook, so if I ever get a chance to host you, be excited.

I'm a traveler, of course! Most of my 'big life lessons' have come while I was traveling, and most of those came from people I met during those trips. I absolutely love to meet new people. I hope one day to live somewhere where I'll be free to host others, but as it stands, I'm not the owner of my living space and can't make those decisions. Which is really your loss (see above note on cooking.)

Intereses

Hiking, ecology, biology, biking, reading, driving, cars, and, of course, travel. I'm also an avid music nerd- I played the flute throughout high school and I love finding new things to listen to and new artists to support. I will some day hike the Appalachian and Pacific Crest trails, it's just a matter of getting all the gear together and getting a good span of time in which to do it.

Música, películas y libros

My taste in music is pretty broad, but it generally doesn't include country except in rare cases. My depth is metal of all kinds.
As far as movies, give me something about space and I'll probably be satisfied- Interstellar, 2001, Alien, et cetera. I also have a soft spot for horror flicks and food documentaries.
I'm an avid reader, or at least I used to be. I love sci fi and fantasy, but I'm also a sucker for a good memoir, like Cheryl Strayed's 'Wild'.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I got to spend three days hiking and camping at Koke'e State Park on Kauai. It is a place full of magic and wonder, and if you ever have the chance to go there, I'd highly recommend it.

I'm apprenticing as a mechanic at a bike shop this summer, so hopefully I'll be able to teach you some tricks on bike maintenance and repair.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I can sing a bit, which is rarely useful. I'm also a decent cook, so if you've got the materials I can sling together a solid meal. I've also been to a fair number of countries, so I've got some pretty neat stories, if I do say so myself.
