PHILOSOPHY
We are here for a good time, not a long time so lets have some fun!

Me and my other half, Ian, have worked in all manner of jobs, mainly public / voluntary sector and now Banking (me) and geeky, nerdy, tech related stuff (him). We are currently taking time out from the our corporate lives to "live the dream" aka travel. We are passionate about life, family and friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Ok, we gotta 'fess up, we're on here because we have Travellers Envy! "Say what now?" I hear you say. Allow me to explain! We have met a lot of people on our travels who have been "couch surfing" and you know what? All those people appear to be the ones having the best time! We too want the opportunity to meet cool, interesting people that a) we wouldn't ordinarily get to cross paths / hang out with and b) get a better understanding about the culture and neighbourhood that we are visiting.

We don't want to be green with envy and develop a dislike for our fellow travellers just because they might be having a better time than us. Please host us!

Interests

Travel, meeting new people, long distance running, football, golf, Formula 1, photography, cooking / baking / eating out - a love of food in general!, museums & art galleries , good wine with good company :-)

Music - ABBA, Jay Z, Prince, Lana Del Rey, Wham! (yep, nothing like a bit of old skool 80s, people!)

Movies - Back to the Future, The Hangover series (they may well be puerile but you gotta admit, those movies sure are funny!), The Wolf of Wall Street and anything starring Steve Carrell / Despicable Me (who doesn't love a little blue and yellow, indiscernible minion??)

Books - anything food or travel related.

TV - If you like Game of Thrones, House of Cards, The Simpsons, American Dad or Family Guy then we are going to get on like a house on fire!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Take a leap of faith by jumping off of the corporate ladder to travel. A risk that's paid off but with only one regret, I only wish that I had done it sooner.
