Hello. I am Destin. (Pronounced just like Destiny but without the Y) I'm 27 years old. I'm a man of simple pleasures I suppose, more than anything, I enjoy having free time with family and friends. My 6 nieces and 2 nephews are my everything. Also playing video games, eating, and sleeping, being a dork, getting caught in the rain, going on random adventures, attempting to learn Spanish, the list goes on and on.
I have an addiction to coffee so I'm always on the hunt for new coffee shops. One of the main goals in my life is to touch and make a difference in a few random peoples' lives...how? I don’t know yet, but one day. I live day to day, learning from my mistakes, trying to be as optimistic as I possibly can, making people laugh along the way. Words never break me, but broken promises and hearts always do. Love to meet new people who can just hangout and be a dork along with me. I'm looking forward to meeting you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couchsurfing so that I can travel and meet new people along the way. And how better to experience somewhere new then with people who live there and know everything there is to know about that specific area, and can recommend the best places to go (coffee shops 😉) and the best things to do.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love many genres of music from alternative rock, r&b, country, rap, edm, to kpop, banda, and reggaeton. My movie choices are pretty much the same. One of my favorite movies of all time is stand by me. And when I need a good pick me up movie I'll watch white chicks. As for books I like to read lots of self help books to help me become a better me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being apart of raising my nieces and nephews, and watching what amazing people they have become and knowing that I was apart of that makes me feel immense joy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am currently trying to learn Spanish. I try to learn a word a day, and I do know lots of words but putting them into sentences is a different story. One day I will be fluent, and I can't wait for that.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Anything I could possibly offer. Which will differ from person to person. But I'm open. If a host would want to go and explore, and experience the city with me that would be amazing. But also, of a host would rather me do my own thing, I'm sure there are other outcomes that can benefit us both.
