CURRENT MISSION

I am on a working holiday in Australia and after spending the last few months doing more holidaying than working, I am heading to Sydney and Melbourne

ABOUT ME

I don't need a lot of space, I move fast and relatively quietly. I am shy but very friendly, sarcastic but easily amused.

I like to spend at least a week in the places I visit, to get a proper feeling of the place and of the locals. I like to people-watch, sitting in parks or in cafes. My Ipod is my most valuable/valued possession. I do not drive and I quite enjoy public transportation outside of peak hours.

PHILOSOPHY

It's good to be opiniated, but it's important to keep an open mind. I like to be convinced and surprised.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just signed up for this. I am hoping to safe some money and meet nice people while travelling, and I plan on reciprocating soon by offering a nice pink couch in my living room in Montreal to other travellers.

Odd films and old rock and roll. TV series on DVD and learning to play the guitar. Food - eating it more than cooking it, sadly. People's stories and second-hand books.

At the moment, I love "I was told there'd be cake" the book of essays written by Sloane Crosley. Also, anything by Brett Easton Ellis or Chuck Pahalaniuk. I try to get into the classics but it doesn't seem to work for me. I read music magazines, newspapers, the back or cereal boxes. Anything goes.

Music, music, music. Anything and everything from Elliott Smith to Leonard Cohen. Getting into Aussie music at the moment.
