About Me

Hey stranger,
I'm not good at introducing myself so that you would immediately start willing to meet or host me, but let me try.
I'm a regular citizen of the far and (probably) unfamiliar (to you) country called Kazakhstan; currently engaged in some studies and an adult life. Though I haven't succeeded yet, I am still on my way to the top.
I guess, once in two years I happen to travel abroad, mostly pursuing research and study goals, but I hope that some time of my life in the future - when I'm finally settled down and, how they say, living life to the fullest - I will dedicate to exploring particular parts of the world. For now I am, like a real Central Asian representative paying tribute to my ancestors, just "raiding" particular European countries (just kidding, no offence :)).
Did I say I am Diana, a twenty-something young woman? No? See how bad I am at introducing myself to the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The Kazakh (maybe like almost any other Central Asian nation) are known for their hospitality. Every Kazakh kid knows that the sweetest candies and the softest bed linens are for guests, not for the family (okay, I may be exaggerating a little bit). But somehow Couchsurfing is not popular in Kazakhstan, I'm not sure half of people here have heard a thing about this service. But I'm sure that if they did, they would amaze you by their willingness to host you and treat like the best guest in the world (am I wrong, my fellow Kazakhs?).
Right now I wish to check out the hospitality of people of different countries and understand the reason why you let a stranger in your house :)
Unfortunately, in a few years I am not able to host travelers, but in the near future I hope you'll see me as a host - not just a person to meet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen Muse, The Killers, and Thirty Second to Mars live.
I wish I could do the same with Linkin Park.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think I can introduce you Kazakhstan and prove we don't live in yurts and don't ride horses (well maybe we do so for fun).
I hope we can discuss and compare living standards in countries we both come from. As I try to keep up with the world news every day, there may be even more that we could have a conversation about.
There is so much I want to share with you and yet too much to learn from you, so why don't we help each other?

Countries I’ve Visited

Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Russian Federation
