I recently retired from an engineering job with a world-wide electronics group. There I was involved in setting standards for electronic devices (MPEG, HDMI, DVB).
I live with my wife, Karin, in a village just south of Hannover. Our two sons left our home as they both have finished their degrees and are now living on their own.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As our sons left our house we now have two rooms that are available to potentially host guests. We have been traveling a lot and always like to get in touch with other people.

Interests

We like to travel quite a lot, sometimes on bycicles sometimes with backpacks. There are still countries we would like to visit.
When at home, we are interested in following politics, reading, listening to music.

Teach, Learn, Share

Just recently, we engage in helping refugees to learn the basics of the German language in order to enable them to find their way in the new situation.
