About Me

I have been all over, from being raised in Hawaii to going to an overseas school in Rome, Italy. After graduating High School there, I wanted to continue traveling so I joined the military and was stationed in Japan for four years. Now that I am back stateside and done with University, I would like to continue my education of the world and allow my family and anyone else the same.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I was younger I did a lot of traveling and I attribute that to my optimistic and open-minded view of the world. I believe everyone should have the chance to get outside their comfort zone and meet all different kinds of people.

Interests

I like games of all kinds from video games to board games, to social experiments. I am quite a movie buff, and can be quite shy until someone mentions one of my favorite movies. I like to draw as I used to draw for comics, I am learning code as a hobby, as well as writing for various things. I play tennis and am not very good but always keep extra rackets, and prefer to get around on a bike than a car.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was younger I was dedicated to a tradition of doing something dangerous on my birthday. This was when I was in Hawaii and there are few more popular dangerous stunts there then swimming in the "Toilet Bowl". The toilet bowl is a bowl shaped well connected to a tunnel underground that leads out to the ocean. It is a made out of rock and fills up and down as the waves and the tides rise and fall. The power when it is "flushing" can be strong enough that people can swim down into the tunnel and then get sucked through it to end up out on the other side. Of course most are to afraid they might get sucked out by snag on the rock tunnel while they are under and drown, but I was not smart enough at the time to think about that.
