I grew up in a small town in NE Oregon, graduated from OSU in 2003 and have lived in Portland for the last six years. I enjoy traveling...I studied abroad in Santander, Spain in spring 2001 and in Aarhus, Denmark in Fall 2003. I've visited more countries in Europe than US states and, while I love traveling internationally, I've been focused on exploring places close to home lately.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I heard about this website at the end of September 2009. I was hoping to use it on a trip to Boston but learned about it only a couple of days before my trip and didn't have time to adequately complete my profile, post pics, get verified, etc. So...
I'm hoping to use couchsurfing on future adventures! :)
Spending time with friends and family is #1! I love the culture of Portland...I try to find unusual things to do like watching the Vaux Swifts fly into the Chapman Elementary School each September, exploring corn mazes & pumpkin patches, hanging out at various McMenamins, going to theatrical performances, catching up with friends during happy hour, checking out neighborhood farmer's markets, etc. I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, being a part of a Danish meetup group and the local Scandinavian Heritage Foundation, participating the Portland chapter of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women), reading, going to the gym, eating Tillamook Cheddar cheese, and drinking tea while wrapped in my soft fuzzy blanket.
