CURRENT MISSION
To defeat the spectre of boredom
ABOUT ME
I'm your standard-issue impoverished grad student. I study Central Asian cultures and languages, and absolutely love to cook. These two activities take up most of my free time, the rest being spent playing video games, gardening, and trying to find new things to do, in that order.
PHILOSOPHY
Shit happens, but the universe (generally) doesn't have it out for you. The world isn't responsible for finding you something you love; you're responsible for finding it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Waking up at five in the morning in Dushanbe (the capital of Tajikistan) and walking to the main square. The streets were completely empty save myself and a Chinese construction worker. Seeing the sun come up and watching as its its light climbed up the statue of Ismaili Somoni in near-absolute silence was an experience I will never forget.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to speak Farsi (sort of), how to replace bike tires, how to shop for healthy food on a tight budget.
