I'm in it for the adventure, and maybe I'll learn something along the way!
I'm an easy-going, honest guy looking to meet other easy-going, honest people. I usually like to listen more than I like to talk. I'm into learning as much as I can about making this world a better place. Finally, I like to have fun and laugh
I'm not in it for the ends. I'm in it for the adventure and to make this world better. I try to treat everyone around me with care and compassion. I'm always looking to improve, although I never expect perfection.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, I want to participate by offering my couch and by using other people's couches when I'm traveling. I'm interested in learning about other ways I can participate. I can participate in outreach by telling people I know about the project.
I've never done this before!
I'm an avid basketball fan. I'm also interested in sustainable lifestyles and developments. My final big interest is in the sociology of health and medicine. I'm an avid advocate of compulsory health care for all Americans and am working to bring a universal health system to the US. Also, I´m apparently an avid fan of the word avid.
Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy mostly acoustic/alternative/indie rock, although I listen to the best of everything. I love watching movies and will watch just about any movie. I enjoy books with positive themes, and I enjoy sociological books about various social issues.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the things I'm most proud of is that I volunteered for Habitat For Humanity through the Americorps. program after I graduated high school. I spent a year volunteering full time in Miami, FL, and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I spent 40 hours per week building houses. Most of my responsibilities included building the roofs of houses and leading groups.
Teach, Learn, Share
I offer all the information I have ever learned. I know the most about sociology and American social issues, especially about health care. I'm interested in learning about organic and sustainable developments and energy production and how to improve people's lives. Generally, I like learning about almost everything.
