I am a 51 year old teacher and mother of two children 13yrs and 19yrs. I teach Physics and other stuff ( 5th year med students communication skills) and run my own Psychotherapeutic Counselling business. I worked for ten years as a school counsellor in my local Comprehensive school. I still work with children alongside my adult work. It's pretty creative - sand tray, toys etc

I love to travel and to meet people. I travelled extensively in my twenties: cycle touring across Europe, walking in the Himalayas, trains and buses in India, Nepal and have recently done a section of the Camino Frances - the last bit! Next is Venice ( Booked for August !) and Barcelona, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Burma ?? Who knows ?

I am a Buddhist and like to listen to talks on Dharma seed and meditate with people. I have a partner, who lives nearby - but he is less keen on the travelling, so I sometimes go places solo.

I*'m quite interested in the local events and to show people around Oxford and to meet people when I am travellling on my own.

Interests

I love flowers and birds. I play the flute and sing a bit. I'm quite out-going, chatty, very open -minded. I like to eat curries, lasagne, Salads and drink wine. I like to just chill out with a coffee and a book and watch the world go by, take in an occasional art gallery / cathedral/ museum/ nice architecture - but taking things very slow - though I can get quite whizzy. I like all kinds of music, but also lots of quiet. Camping is cool too, - less tolerant than I used to be, but I still do it ! I like to walk and swim ( if it is warm !). I like cooking and eating out, real ale, pubs and free music - of all kinds.
