Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I met a Canadian boy and two spanish girls through couchsurfing when I visited my friend, who is a host in Malaysia. We travelled together, shared experience and different culture. That's an unforgettable experience. Couchsurfing is a way to share, know people and make friends. Honestly speaking, as a student, it's a good way to save money. I believe people you meet during travelling may have a great impact on your life.

Interests

I like playing instrument, travelling, swimming, hiking, painting.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classical music and folk music. I learned how to play the piano when I was 11 and I love different instruments, especially traditional instruments. My dad plays the violin so when I am at home we will play music together. I prefer historical books and novels. But recently most of the books I read are related to my major, financial management. That's so sad. Watching movies is one of my hobbies. I love psychological movies which showed the humanity. I also like comedy and Disney movies, which is a good way to release pressure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2014, I was an volunteer in Egypt. At that time Egypt has just suffered from revolution and there were still soldiers and tanks in the street. I was doing volunteer teaching in orphanage, NGO. I felt so luck to be in a safe country and so greatful that my parent support me to have a good education. Also, I felt what I can do is so limited and there still so many people needed help.

I am in my master now, studying management（finance）in Durham University.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have travelled to some cities in China, Thailand, Egypt and Malaysia and I have so many experience and stories to share with others. I will prepare some gifts for my hosts and if possible, I would more than happy to cook chinese foods for my hosts.
